Every year in November, during the monsoon season, Koh Tao is affected by the westerly winds which bring unusually strong waves and swells. These conditions carry debris and trash into the island's various bays, significantly degrading the scenic beauty of Koh Tao.

To combat this, our staff took action during their trip. Before the morning excursion, our guide staff led a cleanup team to collect trash around the Mae Haad Pier area. Then, when they were out on the trip with customers, they worked together again to collect garbage from the sea itself.

The three bays where trash was collected were Ao Muang (with a small amount of trash), Ao Hin Wong (with a large quantity of trash), and the final bay, Ao Leuk (with a small amount).

Our employees used nets to collaboratively collect the rubbish—including plastics and water bottles—and placed them into the net bags for subsequent management and disposal on the island.

This activity represents another significant benefit that we and all our staff have collectively contributed to the community and to Koh Tao. This event also fosters stronger relationships among personnel within the organization and serves as an invitation for tourists to participate in the activity, all with the goal of conserving the beautiful marine environment for the future.
