1. Sustainability Mission & Goals Oxygen Tour Koh Tao Co., Ltd. is committed to elevating responsible tourism under our "Oxygen Go Green" action plan. We aim to preserve the integrity of nature and the local community through the following key goals:

  • Planet (Environment):

    • Waste Reduction: Reduce general (non-recyclable) waste by at least 30% by 2027.

    • Plastic-Free: Eliminate single-use plastics to 0% by 2026.

    • 100% Sorting: Implement complete waste separation (100%) in both the office and during all tour operations.

    • Energy Efficiency: Minimize unnecessary energy consumption, aiming for Zero Unnecessary Energy Waste.

  • People (Social):

    • Generate fair income and support employment for local residents.

    • Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and wellbeing for our team and customers.

  • Certification:

    • Strive to achieve and continuously maintain the international Travelife Certified standard.
       

2. Smart Internal Management We drive sustainability in our Daily Operations with transparency and accountability:

  • Utilize digital tools for systematic monitoring, such as the Master Action Plan and Canvasheet system.

  • Regularly upload performance evidence to the standard audit system to ensure maximum transparency.
     

3. Social Responsibility & Fair Wages "Happy Team, Quality Service." We are committed to caring for our staff beyond minimum legal requirements:

  • Fair Compensation: We guarantee income aligned with the Living Wage. Office staff salaries start at 20,000 THB/month, and guides start at 15,000 THB/month (or higher based on skills).

  • Welfare & Development: Full coverage of Social Security and legal benefits, prioritizing skills development training and workplace safety as our top priority.
     

4. Community & Destination We are not just a tour operator; we are part of the Koh Tao community:

  • Support local employment and promote Community-Based Tourism.

  • Design routes that distribute income to local viewpoints and cultural sites, while actively protecting natural resources from degradation.
     

5. Eco-Transport & Energy Aiming for a Low Carbon Journey:

  • Limit fuel-based vehicles to a maximum of 5% of the total fleet.

  • Strict No Idling Policy: Engine idling is strictly prohibited to reduce air pollution.

  • Regular maintenance of boats and vehicles, combined with Sustainable Driving training for drivers to support a minimum 5% fuel reduction target.
     

6. Safety & Emergency Readiness Safety is the heart of our service:

  • Mandatory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) covering marine accidents, medical emergencies, and natural disasters.

  • Equipped with international standard life-saving equipment (First Aid Kits, Circuit Breakers, Smoke Detectors).

  • Safety Briefing: All staff and guides must be precise and knowledgeable in safety procedures before commencing work every time.
